Your information.
Our responsibility.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and how you can exercise your rights.
Privacy at a Glance
1. Minimal Collection
We only ask for information we genuinely need to support young people, deliver mentoring, process donations, or respond to enquiries.
2. No Selling of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to commercial marketers or unauthorized third parties under any circumstances.
3. Youth-Centered Protection
Because we work with young people aged 12–24, we apply heightened security and default anonymisation to all youth stories and submissions.
4. You Stay in Control
You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask for deletion where legally permitted.

4. Young People & Children Under 18
The safety and dignity of children and youth is paramount. When young people participate in storytelling, we do not publish full legal surnames, exact street addresses, or vulnerable circumstances without informed consent and safeguarding review. For safeguarding reports, young people may contact us confidentially without requiring parental permission where that might compromise their safety.
5. Security & Retention
We implement technical and organizational security measures, including HTTPS encryption, restricted staff access controls, and protected directories for sensitive files. We retain personal records only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected or as required by applicable laws.
6. Your Data Rights
Under applicable data protection principles, you have the right to:
- Access: Request confirmation and copies of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to rectify inaccurate or incomplete details.
- Deletion: Request erasure of your data when it is no longer needed.
